Maple
Southern Ontario is renown for having some of the finest maple in the world. Which is why we consider it the best you can burn.
Black Cherry
With a black flakey bark and reddish interior, cherry can be aromatic when burned in an open fireplace or used for smoking.
Ash
A fine hardwood with excellent coaling qualities. Ash has a nice straight grain which can make splitting enjoyable.
Beech
A common hardwood in our area, the smooth grey bark makes beech very distinguishable.
Oak
One of the densest species of deciduous trees in our area. High in BTU's make oak a favourite by many.
Birch
Nothing compares to the crackle and smell of dry birch in the fireplace. Like all of the hardwoods mentioned, they all perform outstandingly in the stove.
